I expect nothing less from our fearless leader Captain Bam
Man Bam⦠I live the guy and he makes no sense to me. How is he this good while choosing to play the MOST inefficient/inconsistent type of offense possible?
Dude takes one of the worst type of return on his shot midrange shots and still manages to be effective on offense, itβs crazy. This is by no means a shot at Bam. Itβs just that he makes his own life so goddamn hard by picking the hardest path. And it actually kinda works.
For those that compare him to other 4/5s: heβll never be able to share similar stats to them. When you look at Jokic or Embiid or Giannis, most have consistent 60+% TS which I donβt think Bam will ever be able to pull off because Bam takes/has to take very difficult shots very often.
That turnaround midrange fadeaway/midrange jumper is surprisingly good even though he often takes it while being double teamed. Imagine if Bam would truck more into the masses like Giannis and get fouls on the way? Or if he added to his post up moves? Or if he added a 3 pointer? Iβm not too stuck on what Bam should add. Iβm just saying he needs to add one more dimension to his offense to be a complete offensive package.
If he wants to be considered the elite big that we know he is, he needs that one more thing. Not only to win over the media, but to make his own life/game easier for himself.
