Still in the market to upgrade the team as far as depth defense and goaltending. Seems to imply that other teams aren’t willing to budge on ask.
Talked about salary cap and having to manage that. Dougie is still undergoing tests with one coming up very soon to get a more concrete timeline. Salary cap talk was bookended between this point so realistically they know they can’t make a move until they get Dougie’s time frame sorted.
Ownership not happy with our standings, but reinforced that there’s still plenty of time to turn it around and they aren’t worried.
Group still believes in Lindy as our coach. Hard to evaluate our season with all the injuries.
Fitzy will be continuing to do the GM job. This promotion is similar to Dubas in Pittsburgh, Staios in Ottawa, etc.
Talks with Toffoli’s camp are expected during All Star break as far as seeing about an extensions and their thoughts. Praised Toffoli and his professionalism.

Fitzgerald said something important, he’s said it before but it’s worth pointing out. He said he is in the room with the coaches every morning, watching tape, talking about strategy, etc.
If you really think Lindy is just going rogue with the lines, which goalie to start, how many minutes Holtz is getting, etc you are missing the information that is right in front of you. These are organizational decisions.
