[AJ Hinch also said the final two bullpen spots are still being fought for between Beau Brieske, Alex Faedo, Joey Wentz and Miguel Diaz](https://twitter.com/cmccosky/status/1771206216364036470)
Diaz just like Wentz is out of options so if he is sent down he will be placed on waivers
Injuries happen, every pitcher on the 40 will be used.
I wonder if this is a prelude to a Manning trade… can’t imagine he’s Ok with this decision, especially with how good he’s looked this spring.
I’m a little surprised by Manning getting the demotion as his stuff has been really good but the HRs have been an issue this spring so probably needs to iron it out. Not a bad problem to have to have a seasoned starter with upside ready to go in AAA when injuries inevitably happen.
I like it even though kind of surprised shows they aren’t tied to guys off draft stuff and it’s performance based
Manning has to work on that home run problem. But, he did show some promise in the spring. I don’t think he’ll be in Toledo long unless he’s going to be part of a future trade?
6 HRs allowed in his last 14 innings pitched. Clean up that area and he’ll be back soon. Also wouldn’t not have happened if not for Mize and Olson impressing, so that’s a positive
Well, we have our rotation. May the odds be ever in their favor.
The stable is very deep.
I’m not surprised but I still don’t like it. Good to know Manning will be waiting in the event of an injury
I would not be opposed to trading a pitcher or two for a high ceiling blue chip athletic all around complete offensive and defensive catcher and/or shortstop prospect/young player.
Trade value simulator that has proved pretty accurate.
We really should trade a pitcher for somebody who can hit the ball.

Manning has value, though guys like Olson are even more valuable due to more team control years
Wow, I was not expecting Manning to be the one sent down, they must like Olson’s strikeout potential over Manning.
