He might have that dog in him. I don’t mind drafting this kid.

Projected lottery pick Matas Buzelis wants to play against projected lottery pick Zaccharie Risacher in a 1v1 game

“I want to see him one-on-one. He just doesn't want to do that with me. His agent will not do that with me, and I know he won't. It’s a business decision. My advantage is that I have everything over him.” 🍿

  1. I don’t see this happening but kudos for wanting that smoke

Matas is expected to go in that 4-8 range though this could very well change leading in to the combine

  2. matas looks like a serious bust. He is one of the main reasons I want the pick to convey this year 😂😂😂

Watch his highlights on youtube and he absolutely looks terrible. Bro does not pass the eye test imo. I was soo confused as to why/how he was mocked soo high and I came to the conlcusion that this draft may not be that good.

Him, and edey being mocked soo high leads me to believe that this draft is terrible because I doubt either player would be good in the nba.

I hope im wrong abt edey tho, Id love for a canadian to succeed.

  3. I like that mentality a lot. Also I know the rising stars game doesn’t reflect talent completely but those are games that each team is trying to win, and Matas played great there and it was against a team involving some of the best young players in the NBA. I like his craftiness, and defensively he’s active.

  4. > He might have that dog in him.

All these quotes tell me is that he’s very insecure that Risacher will be a top 3 pick. We all know that guy.

  5. IDK. Saying this stuff while also knowing you can’t be proven wrong because that 1v1 would never happen also gives me some fake-tough-guy “hold me back” vibes.

Even in situations where that’s not the case, you still have to be able to back it up. Just think back to the time that Toronto was playing Washington in the playoffs and Kelly Oubre Jr. was being critical of Delon Wright before game 6. Not only did Toronto win Game 6, but Oubre was a non-factor in the game and the final meaninful play before running out the clock was a Wright block on Oubre’s layup attempt. Talking tough means little unless it is backed up.
