This guy high-fived me at a Hofstra training camp when i was a kid and signed my football and it’s still one of my coolest sports-memories.
My recollection is that a ton of people mocked Ed Reed to the Jets, and Bryan Thomas was considered a big reach (I don’t recall his name coming up at all as a first round pick).
Ed Reed was available, so, of course, the Jets drafted Bryan Thomas. He wasn’t bad, but not a first rounder either.
