  1. Welp, now we know – this team is full of night owls

‘s why we were so good on the west coast

  2. The fact that Kutter “Kutter Crawford” Crawford has a .42 ERA (2 earned runs in total) in 21.1 innings and 0 wins to show for it is absurd

11 AM games may not be our thing

  3. Our offense is fucking terrible

Why why why did we not even attempt to sign a bat this offseason

  4. What a waste of a gem from Kutter. Feels like I’ve watched this exact same game 5 times already and we’re barely 10% of the way through the season

  5. That game sucked. Hard to believe we’re two weeks into the season and the offense still can’t string along multiple games of having something to show for it

  6. Just a pathetic showing by the offense. See you tomorrow when this same exact lineup scores 11 runs on 8 hits or some shit

  7. This one was painful to watch. No life on offense, no life on defense.

Nice performance by Kutter though, unfortunate we couldn’t get him the win.

  8. The results are pending but we may have our new worst loss of the season.

    TON prayer circle please

  9. Kinda funny that without O’Neill we have not a single quality righty and Casas Devers and O’Neill are the only ones that can hit home runs

  10. I know, “the roster is the roster” but it really doesn’t help when sm of this team’s approaches outside of pitching (thank god for Andrew Bailey) are just fundamentally poor

First and foremost, fuck Peter Fatse – this team doesn’t work counts and hasn’t for years and it has to be his fault – if you’ve got bad hitters the least u can do is coach them to take pitches

Our defense includes guys out of position, which sucks, but whether it’s the infield coach, Cora, or someone else, can’t be making sm errors and fundamental miscommunications like the O’Neill/devers collision

And finally, substitutions- Cora is just a blind L/R matchup enthusiast and it often hurts more than it helps – e.g. bringing in Weissert for R/R against a bad righty when they were able to easily switch in a better hitting lefty pinch hitter

Obviously, all these guys’ jobs have been made harder by the poor quality of the team but when the coaches are making bad situations worse, a lot of blame needs to be applied there

These fundamental mistakes just keep happening at every aspect of the game, this team is just so fucking stupid from Cora down to the players and everyone in between

  11. Had to tune out around the 3rd inning. Was there good reason for Kutter getting the hook so early? With that stat line I’d think he could have gone 7

  12. The defense crumbled when the shortstop changed.

Keep Ceddanne at shortstop for the rest of the season.

  13. Thank goodness the minutemen of 1775 didn’t put forth a
no-show effort like the Red Sox today.

  14. If you told me before the season started that our pitching was holding it down and it was our offense that has been lacking I would have laughed at your face

  15. Kinda unrelated to how shitty this loss was but maybe it’s time to accept that the rival GMs that were so flabbergasted with what we signed yoshida for were right

  16. Hamilton and Valdez are both terrible. If you can’t hit you better be a wizard on defense, but they do both poorly.

  17. When your team outlook is basically “We’ll be able to mix it up as long as players A, B, C, or D don’t get hurt” and players A, B, C, AND D are all hurt within the first couple of weeks, then things are going to get silly and weird in a hurry.
