24. Ever since the debacle in 2004, Team USA is very very particular about the players they select, and very strategic when it comes to roster construction. Obviously they’re gonna have top-end talent, but they prioritize “fit” more than anything.

    With that said, I think Brunson’s snub came down to fit rather than skill. So I don’t think we should view it as “they snubbed Brunson for Hali and Jrue”….instead, they probably chose the latter two bc they think they fit the team better.

    So I’m not really too upset about this. Would’ve been a great experience and accomplishment for him tho…so that kinda sucks.
